Pillowcases – Beginning Machine Sewing with Kelli Thomas

Learn a super quick and easy method to make a wonderful custom pillow case using three different coordinating fabrics.

 

Learn a French seam for encasing raw edges. You should be comfortable operating your own sewing machine for this class. Pillows can be standard or king size. Please bring a sewing machine; basic sewing notions (sewing scissors, straight pins, soft measuring tape); rotary cutting supplies (mat, ruler and cutter) recommended – not required; three coordinating fabrics (3/4 yard main fabric for standard pillow or 1 yard for king, 1/3 yard contrast fabric, 1/8 yard trim fabric (trim fabric is optional) and coordinating thread.

IMPORTANT: Please press all fabrics before class!

**One parent and one child working together counts as one student (child is free when with a parent).**
