Making jam is a great way to preserve fruit for year-round use. There is nothing like opening a jar of jam in the winter that you preserved in the summer – it’s like opening a jar of sunshine!
In this beginner level class, we’ll get you ready for summer canning. You’ll learn the basics of water-bath canning, including the equipment needed, how the process works, and key points to make sure your preserved food is safe. This will be a hands-on class where we’ll work with frozen berries to create and preserve a delicious jam.
You’ll get to take home some of your own homemade jam!
