Seattle Farm School believes in growing a strong, sustainable and self-sufficient community by providing hands-on education in urban farming, craft, cooking, food preservation, and emergency preparedness skills for all ages.

We are unique because we offer learning opportunities for all ages in a variety of urban homesteading skills including, but not limited to: edible gardening, seed saving, food preservation through canning and fermenting, cooking, baking, backyard chicken keeping, sewing, quilting, knitting, crochet, papercraft, emergency preparedness and homemade natural home and body care products.

We are purposeful in providing adults and children fun activities and skills they can learn together to help grow stronger families and in turn a stronger community. Most of our classes include a free spot for a child to attend class with an adult.

We are talented – We are extremely proud of the talented and passionate team of teachers who have come together to pass on our collective love and knowledge of all things domestic.  Our greatest hope is that you will be inspired to integrate these skills into your own life, and experience the joy and pride of handmade and homegrown.  Meet our team here.

We dream big. Learn all about our hope for the future of Seattle Farm School here. It’s exciting! We’d love for you to be a part of it!

We are committed to our community through classes, events and projects.

We are giving back with every paid tuition for a class, 2% will be donated to a local non-profit charity, and 2% will be put in a scholarship fund to be split equally between scholarships for low income students, and a scholarship for high school students pursuing higher education in the field of urban agriculture.
